As a teacher at Family of Faith Christian School for nine years, Chrissie Belyeu is accustomed to people spelling her name wrong. so just for all you "uneducated" people, it is B-e-l-y-e-u. Now that we got that out of the way, we can now get into the details.
Chrissie Belyeu, or Chrissie as she is called around the classroom, is an amazing teacher. She has been teaching the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades this year. That's right - three classes; she has to use a twenty minute schedule. She said that she appreciates all the help she receives from Johnnie M., a Family of Faith College student who is doing her internship in Chrissie's classroom. Even with a busy schedule Chrissie still loves teaching. She told me she is so thankful that God didn't call her to have a boring job like an accountant. God gave Chrissie the desire to be a teacher in 2nd grade and He confirmed that desire with some prophecies in high school. She went to Family of Faith College for five years and earned a double degree with enabled her to fulfill God's calling on her life.
One of her favorite sayings is by Hudson Taylor: "It doesn't matter really how great the pressure is. It only matters where the pressure lies. See to it that it never comes between you and the Lord; then the greater the pressure, the more it presses you to Him." I see that the pressure hasn't come between Chrissie and God, for her life shows it. One time she prayed over the kid's desks, invoking Jesus' names on them and then felt a tremendous difference the next day.
Just in case you were wondering Chrissie's favorite fast food restaurant is Taco Bell. She also is an avid lover of words, her favorites are ones such as indubitably, plethora, and magnanimous. I understand why she likes indubitably, because it's very fun to say.
