SENIOR TRIP TO MEXICO

On Thursday, March 12, 2009, the senior class of 2009 will begin their senior trip by flying to Mexico City.  Every year our seniors go on a mission trip, according to by God's direction. These trips are a monumental part of graduation because of what the experience imparts into their lives.

This year's seniors are Rachel Gilliam, Jessica Cobble, Erin McDonald, and Joseph Stewart.  Also joining the seniors on their trip are teachers Dax Nightingale, Chrissie Belyeu, Lauren Sadberry, and administrator Chris Belyeu.  Debbie Mohabir, administrator of Destiny Christian Academy in Wagoner, Oklahoma, and Pam Perry also of Wagoner, will be joining in on this trip as well.

The group will be traveling from Mexico City to Iguala to conduct a Christian school conference.  The teachers will be imparting the vision of Christian education while the seniors will be giving testimonies and telling of their experiences.  They will also be working with the youth group of the local church.

After the conference, the group will travel to Cuicatalan of the Oaxaca region to work in an orphanage.  Two previous groups of our seniors have worked with the people of this area.  The seniors will be helping in the construction of the orphanage bakery and the director's quarters.  There will also be opportunities to minister to the children of the oprhange and spend much needed time with them.

The group is very excited about what God is going to release to the people of Mexico. They are hungry for more impartation and revelation, and it is so exciting that God has given this group the opportunity to do so.  Please be praying for the seniors and the teachers who are going.  If you desire to give financially toward this mission trip, please call the school office.
