The Family of Faith Church was founded in 1983.  The church was started by a direct word for God to raise up a church built on New Testament principles of church government and order patterned after the five-fold ministry gifts of Ephesians 4:11.  God has been blessing the church from that day forward.  Dr. Sam and Kathy Matthews are the pastors.

  History:  The church first met in a rented storefront building in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  The church purchased property between Shawnee and Meeker on Highway 18.  A new building was constructed and was occupied in October, 1984.  The original building has had two extensions, which include a library, a kitchen, classrooms, and a small gymnasium and cafeteria.             

In August 1985, the Family of Faith Christian School was established.  The school began with grades kindergarten through sixth and each year the next grade level was added until all twelve grades were established.  The first senior graduation was held in 1992.  A full size gymnasium was added in 1996.  Kathy Matthews was the administrator from its birth through the school year of 2003-04.  Christopher Belyeu was then raised up in the position of administrator.  He graduated from the school and Family of Faith College.  He received his Masters Degree from Oral Roberts University.

The Family of Faith Christian School was birthed by the Spirit of God with the burden that Jesus carries for the world being that which caused the school to come into existence.   God gave a specific call and mandate to see that the laborers are raised up, trained, and sent to the world.  The burning desire is to see a generation of laborers prepared to live out the purposes of God.  More details may be found on the College web pages on this website.

The Family of Faith College was founded in 1992 by the decree of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of educating, discipling, and training laborers for the Kingdom of God. The college equips students, or laborers, spiritually, academically, and practically to accomplish the Great Commission through effective service in churches, Christian schools, businesses, and Bible colleges worldwide.  For more details, go to the college web pages on this website.
